Last Minute Gifts

Posted by Judith Pratt on

Have you ever been invited to a last minute birthday party? Or reminded of an important day in a coworkers life shortly before you would need to hand them a gift? We all have at least one of these memories.

While sometimes you might have a little beautiful handmade project perfectly set aside for instances like this, it isn't always the case. So here are some ideas that might help during the upcoming season of giving!

For those that love embroidery, a little hand-picked design on the corner of a napkin set is a good little house-warming gift. And it could take anywhere from a couple minutes for some monogramming or 10 for a more complicated flashy design. Place mats are also very quick to make, pick how big you want your place mats to end up, cut two rectangles and slide some cotton batting in there! Aprons and corn packs are also great little useful gifts that can be made up in a jiffy.

For gifts involving kids, you can quickly make up some small 4x4 bean bags, perfect for playing some corn hole in the summer. Pillowcases, whether they be small squares or classic pillow size are also festive and often take very little time to make. With these you can add a personal flair to each.

And guaranteed there are so many more beautiful projects that you can make quickly! Let us know what your favorite small gift project is!
